Getting Started as a Tutor

Set up your tutor account and start teaching in minutes

Create Your Account

Go to the Sign Up page and select “I am a Tutor”. You can sign up with your email or use Google for quick registration.

Select Your Subjects

Choose the subjects you teach (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry). You can add multiple subjects and specify your experience level for each.

Complete Your Profile

Add your profile picture, bio, qualifications, and teaching experience. A complete profile helps students find and trust you.

Create Your First Class

Navigate to Classes and create either a group class or one-to-one class. Set the subject, description, and enrollment settings.

Start Creating Content

Use AI to generate questions and notes, or create activities manually. Assign content to your students and track their progress.

Creating a New Class

Navigate to Classes

From your dashboard, click on “Classes” in the sidebar or use the quick action button.

Click Create Class

Click the “Create Class” button to open the class creation form.

Configure Class Settings

  • Class Name: Give your class a descriptive name
  • Subject: Select from your registered subjects
  • Class Type: Choose “Group” or “One-to-One”
  • Max Students: Set capacity for group classes
  • Hourly Rate: Optional pricing information
  • Require Approval: Enable if you want to review enrollment requests

Managing Enrollments

When students request to join your class, you'll receive notifications. If approval is required:

  • Review pending requests in the class details page
  • Click “Approve” to accept the student
  • Click “Reject” to decline the request
  • Students will be notified of your decision

Editing & Deleting Classes

You can edit class details at any time. To delete a class, it must have no enrolled students. Remove students first if needed.

View, manage, and communicate with your students

Viewing Your Students

Navigate to “Students” in the sidebar to see all students enrolled in your classes.

Student List Features:
  • Filter by Class: View students from specific classes
  • Search: Find students by name or email
  • View Profile: Click on a student to see their details
  • Learning Remarks: Add private notes about student progress

Adding Learning Remarks

Learning remarks are private notes visible only to you. Use them to track:

  • Student strengths and weaknesses
  • Topics that need more focus
  • Behavioral observations
  • Parent communication notes

Sending Private Messages

Select a Student

From the student list, click on the message icon or open the student's profile.

Compose Message

Enter a title and message content. Messages are delivered directly to the student's inbox.

Send

Click send to deliver the message. Students will see it in their Messages section.

Navigate to Activities

Click “Activities” in the sidebar, then click “Create Activity”.

  • AI-Generated: Let AI create questions based on your specifications
  • Manual: Create questions yourself with full control

Configure Activity Settings

  • Title & Description: Name your activity
  • Time Limit: Set how long students have to complete
  • Attempt Limits: Allow single or multiple attempts
  • Shuffle Questions: Randomize question order
  • Show Answers: Display correct answers after submission

Add Questions

Add questions manually or generate them with AI. Each question includes:
  • Question text
  • Multiple choice options (MCQ) or True/False
  • Correct answer
  • Explanation for feedback
  • Optional image

Assign to Students

Once published, assign the activity to individual students or entire classes.

Click on any activity to view detailed results including:

When creating an activity, select “Generate with AI” option.

Creating Lesson Notes

Click “Notes” in the sidebar, then “Create Note”.

Sending Broadcasts

Broadcasts are announcements sent to multiple students at once.

Click “Broadcasts” in the sidebar or access from the class page.

Create New Broadcast

Click “New Broadcast” and select recipients:
  • All Students: Send to everyone in all your classes
  • Specific Class: Send to all students in one class
  • Individual Student: Direct private message

Add a title and message content. You can save as draft or send immediately.

To send a private message to one student:

  • Go to Students page
  • Click the message icon next to the student
  • Or open student profile and click “Send Message”

Getting Started as a Student

Set up your student account and start learning

Create Your Account

Go to the Sign Up page and select “I am a Student”. Sign up with email or Google.

Add your name, grade level, and school. Upload a profile picture to personalize your account.

Find tutors and enroll in classes

Finding Classes

Browse Tutors

Navigate to “Enrollment” in the sidebar to see available tutors.

Search & Filter

Use the search bar to find tutors by name. View tutor profiles, subjects, and verification status.

View Classes

Click on a tutor to see their available classes with details:
  • Class name and subject
  • Class type (group or one-to-one)
  • Description and hourly rate
  • Current enrollment

Enroll

Click “Enroll” to join a class. Some classes may require tutor approval.

Wait for Approval

If approval is required, your request will be pending until the tutor accepts it. You'll be notified when approved.

View Assigned Activities

Go to “Activities” to see all your assignments. Filter by Pending, In Progress, or Completed.

Start an Activity

Click on an activity to see details (time limit, question count, due date), then click “Start”.

Answer Questions

  • Read each question carefully
  • Select your answer from the options
  • Use navigation buttons to move between questions
  • Watch the timer if there's a time limit

Submit

Review your answers and click “Submit”. Unanswered questions will be flagged.

Tutor-Assigned

Papers created and assigned by your tutor for practice. These cannot be deleted.

Self-Generated

Papers you generate yourself using AI. You can delete these when no longer needed.

  • All Students: Announcements to all of a tutor's students

Unread messages are shown with a badge on your dashboard. Messages are automatically marked as read when you view them.

What are AI minutes?

AI minutes measure your usage of AI-powered features like question generation, note creation, and practice sessions. Approximately 1000 tokens equals 1 AI minute.

Can I use Clazy Online on mobile?

Yes! Clazy Online is fully responsive and works on all devices including smartphones and tablets.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to your Profile page and click “Manage Billing”. You'll be taken to the Stripe portal where you can cancel or modify your subscription.
